Now comes the hard part. It's easy to sit down and create a baseline of how your business is currently doing. It's easy to sit down and create a list of goals of where you want to go or things you want to accomplish. I'll liken it to a road map again. Remember I was talking about helping you find Boston. Same exact thing. You need to create a road map of where you want to go. It's easy to sit down in blue sky and think of any number of different things that you could do to market your business, product, service or whatever. Now comes the hard part: actually doing something. You need to get off your butt and take a step in a direction. It doesn't matter if it eventually winds up being what's called the "wrong direction". What matters is that you get started. A lot of people in a lot of different areas sit there and learn. You know they try to absorb all sorts of knowledge. Whether it's learning a new language so that they can travel to a new country or taking a college course. Maybe they're reading a magazine or a textbook. They need to get started in a specific direction. And again it's hard to get started. You may find out that you've gone in the wrong direction. But once you head in a particular direction, you can change the course. That becomes easier to do once you take it any step at all. So right now, what I want you to do is anything. Send some mails. Start creating a newsletter. It doesn't matter. Just do something.
